Great Lakes Freight Rail
Wisconsin North of Green Bay, Wausau, and Chippewa Falls;
Upper Michigan;
Minnesota’s Arrowhead Region;
Ontario north to Hearst; and
Ontario and Manitoba north to Winnipeg and Thunder Bay.
These lines encompass the Great Lakes Forest resources. Our particular focus is transportation of raw and manufactured forest products. CN/WCG’s Log Committee, principally, and also CN/WCG’s Intermodal Committee focus on development of freight density on these lines. WCG supports activities of the Northwoods Rail Transit Commission which have the same objective. See (you will be leaving WCG’s site):
